savramesh 37 Report post Posted February 25, 2010 my nephews used to press the cpu restart button when i am seriously working.. is it possible to make the button work like this - long press or double press to restart.. or any other way ? aalok 442 Report post Posted February 25, 2010 ^ sir, you can disable the Restart button by opening the computer case & removing the wire connected from Restart button to Computer Main Board, but again, a point comes, what if your nephew long presses "POWER" button.... ::Hitesh:: 1,763 Report post Posted February 25, 2010 ^^^ Restart button is not related to windows XP, It is an powersupply reset button which is mounted on your mainboard. their is only one solution, open your cabinet and remove reset button cable from mainboard, it is very easy !
