dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted March 5, 2010 ^ Plain BS and nothing else... try it first personally and then say... these are software based issues and not hardware.... The N1 software update with multi touch has already been done OTA and no such issues faced...

HetalDP 947 Report post Posted March 5, 2010 Major Editors are Bull **** NexusOne have Locked some RAM Dalvik and Internal AGP Just Right Click My COmputer and see how RAM is Stolen by OS. NexusOne Desire ROM have Unlocked that RAM for normal use. Well What Dalvik Reports to Normal Apps about amount of RAM is no Important Important is how they manage apps in that RAM. What Dalvik Reports is usable for Normal apps. But it make Reserver for Byte Code and Just in Time Compiler. I have to say this Thousand time that Android is Dalvik Virtual Machine OS so all apps only can see what is Reports by Dalvik but that does not means that OS is not capable to use it. Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted March 6, 2010 well the kernel does miss some portion of nexus one ram and that same has been discussed by android devs on xda also the desire rom might be tapping in gpu or somehwere else to get that additional ram just like the 10mb ram increase in G1 the os is capable of using it , but kernel is core of any os , if kernel is limited to use a portion of ram then os cant use it completely , and thats been pointed out that the kernel will be updated in next update to utilise full potential of ram as i said before also the performance of nexus isnt impaired by the missing ram as it still has plenty ram and there are not much 3D intensive apps on android who can expose this part neither it has sense ui its still fast i dont know why this discussion is creating such a great buzz lets see what next updates have to bring
