Lg Rd 2030 Address Book

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I own a LG RD 2030 handset. When the phone is switched on and there is no signal, it endlessly waits for the signal (no further progress).

Is there any way of accessing the address book of the phone even when there is no signal. I just need the phone numbers stored in the mobile, I can use some other device to actually place the call.

Please help, thank you.

Regards,

Balaji

Thats wied ...you should certainly be able to access other functions like addr. book, etc ...within or outside coverage area. At least I can. You should take it to an LG service station...

If there is no signal you should see the no signal icon and the phone should go in power saving mode ...i think in about 10 mins.

In the case of 2030 it will go to power save mode after 15 minutes, where as in the

case of 7130 it is after 5 minitues(both will show press anykey to exit).I think 5 minute is much better :)

ut in 7130 we can't use menus properly while it showing "press any key to exit".If we press buttons after 2 or 3 seconds it will go to power save again. So in this case 2030 is better

Yes, you are right ...it is 15 mins and not 10. 5 mins would of course be better for saving power ...but since phone will check if its being paged much less frequently in power saving mode, you might miss a call when you are moving in area where there is fringe coverage...

Hi All,

Thanks for your responses. I rebooted my phone. Now I can access the address book, etc. (except alarm and scheduler) even though there is no signal.
