Don't know about sandisk in particular, but in general, if you want good sound quality, then go for original branded product.

Regarding FM, my experience with Creative Muvo (512 MB) is that FM reception is not at all acceptable while on the move.

And when I connect it to my Yamaha Stereo Amplifier (alongwith Sony Floorstanding Speakers), even the sound quality does not appear to be upto the mark, although its OK while using earphones.

So a good test for sound quality could be to connect it to a big music system...

The t.sonic 610 model is very good. fm, voice & fm recorder, mp3 and wma player, usb charging. 1GB is for 3500rs. the bundled headphones ****, you need to buy a good headphone. but a good buy. I am using it from April 06, with no problem.

Branded/Unbranded, FM quality always defers from one piece to other.... location of the user..... usage pattern.

Some how thats always been a grey area in MP3 players & foremost reason its absent in iPods.

@fevin raj- Sandisk Models are value for money- great buy for Avg. music lover.

Besides newer models support external memory cards.

If you are in mumbai.. please visit AV exhibition in Taj lands end on 27-28-29 ocotber. u can get live demos of creative players.

personally i can gurantee decent sound quality from sandisk.

no experince with Tsonic. Can't comment.

besides if u spend little extra on Headphones/earphones... u can get great sound from avg players.

I took sandisk cause I didnt wanna pay for brand apple. Finally its personal judgement. Take a moment, think & make a final call.

I can vouch for t.sonic 610. But see first with which player u r comfortable with. The t.sonic is just 28gms, so i m very used to carrying it around. try to find and read reviews about various models.
