savramesh 37 Report post Posted March 10, 2010 Source Vodafone is all set to announce what is arguably its first Android based phone. The phone, which just goes by the name 845, will be a cheap Android based smartphone with just the basic features you'd expect on an entry level Android device. The only image of it as of now is a very poor one as seen below. As for the features, the phone has a large 2.8-inch QVGA touchscreen display, HSDPA, Wi-Fi, GPS, 3.2MP camera, 512MB of internal memory. The memory can be expanded using microSD cards. The phone comes with a 1200Mah battery and will run Android 2.1. The phone is expected to be launched in May in Europe. Also, it is likely that Vodafone might change the name of the phone to something else when the launch eventually happens. Let's see if this handset makes its way to India in the near future. Vodafone had earlier this year launched two low-end phones - the 150 and the 250, both of which cost less than Rs. 1,000.
