Bsnl Should do away with Telecom Circles - what say?

Recommended Posts

BSNL landline shood do away with telecom circles and STD calls.

My suggeson is eleven digit landline number,no STD code, simple tariff across country.

It can happen... I cannot guarantee aout 11 digit, but one tariff all over the country can happen...

Ok, so is this news or another opinion of the OP?

The title of this thread is misleading if it is someone's opinion.. :)

Whats the use of all this when their tariffs are so high? They are still charging 1 - 1.2 /min. to call a local mobile! Totally uncompetitive...     :NOTriste:

Also, in all these years we have been their customers, and paid hefty bills, they have given ZERO offers/freebies or anything else.

that's why landline of bsnl is decresing and landline of pvt ops are incresing(airtel, tata)

and i too disconnected bsnl ll for 1-1.2 Rs pulse.

people are using it mostly due to Broadband. and bsnl is taking undue advantage of high pulse rate.

I am happy that not using wired broadband of bsnl

BSNL landline default plan is already One India Plan.

The real need is to lower the per pulse cost.

Same here... its now used almost only for BB and incoming calls for my parents... who don't want to let the number go as its very old. My RGSM has almost replaced it for outgoing calls... but I have to fall back on it when RGSM network gets almost unusable.

Too bad BSNL does not seem to be interested even in retaining its business. They can't take much undue advantage of me as I'd just shift to the most competitive provider.

Talking of BSNL LL, I just had a look at my previous two bills. Both had "Number of calls : 0". :lol2:

If it was not for Broadband, no one seems to be willing to take LL. :(

A ten digit landline number without STD code can also be used for Landline number portability (LNP) later just like mobile number portability (MNP) .Today we cannot change service provider retaining landline number. What say?

^^^ yes. It will also pave way for number portability between mobiles and LL in future.
