::Hitesh:: 1,763 Report post Posted March 12, 2010 Bill Gates has once again been bumped out of the top spot on Forbes' rich list. Forbes has released its list of the richest people on Earth and tycoon Carlos Slim has nabbed the top spot meaning Bill Gates is no longer the richest man in the world. So who's the new guy? Carlos Slim is a 70-year-old Mexican telecoms mogul who placed third on last year's list. Slim boasts a net worth of $53.5 billion and owns a $23 billion stake in America Movil. Shares for AM were up 35 percent in a year and in the last 12 months alone, Slim's fortune has risen by $18.5 billion. Bill Gates is currently worth $53 billion, up $13 billion in the last 12 months, and Warren Buffet's fortune jumped $10 billion to $47 billion.
