savramesh 37 Report post Posted March 13, 2010 Source Airtel has announced that it is offering higher speeds for its broadband customers so they can enjoy live streaming of IPL matches on the video sharing website Youtube. com. Airtel will offer speeds of 2MBPS for youtube. com/ipl from 12th March till 25th April. Youtube. com has won the official rights to stream all live matches in the tournament lasting 45 days. All users of the broadband service will be able to watch the content on internet just like on live TV. The speed will be upgraded and will only be for youtube. com/ipl while for other sites and even other pages on youtube, the speed will remain the same. The company will consider the streaming as part of data transfer limits of customer's tariff plans. It does not guarantee the speed for 2MBPS all the time as it will depend on the traffic. Airtel is the official broadband sponsor of Indian Premiere League season 3.
