FEVIN-RAJ 61 Report post Posted October 11, 2010 Yes, every time I was under full coverage when I had call drops Many of my colleagues also shared the call drop experience in Samsung sets. Call drops are usually happens when a call is just connected. Since the drops are not in the middle of conversation, u have to dial again.

vvinayakpai 26 Report post Posted November 6, 2010 One small defect I noted in this phone (not actually a defect), just a drawback. The timer gets reset to 0 after every 24 hours of talktime. In my previous LG phone the total number of hours of talktime right from th beginning f purchase of phone to the end was displayed without it getting automaticlally reset. It had clocked almost 1369 hours (approx. ) but in this phone it gets reset to zero after every 24 hours of talktime.
rbdhoot 11 Report post Posted November 14, 2010 This is so strange!!!!!!! This is an excellent phone from Samsung and the best in clasee (in terms of the bettery) but still I have not come across even a single advertisement about this phone. Also, the worst part is that there is not even a mention about this model in their official CDMA india Website http://www.samsungcdma.in/ I think they discarded updating about CDMA handsets. Their consumer electronics website which includes CDMA handsets is also not updated http://www.samsung.com/in/consumer/mobile-phone/mobile-phone/index.idx?pagetype=type_p2& It is very bad from a reputed company like Samsung to keep mum about their new handsets and colourfully showing their obsolete handsets in their websites. Even the chinese rebranded mobile phone companies are updating their websites. Please see the non popular brand fly mobile website http://www.flyphone.in/ Very interesting appearance and updating regularly. check this site : http://www.samsungcdma.in/default.aspx

KAPILKDEV 68 Report post Posted November 15, 2010 can any one tell me whether the keypad of this handset makes that iritating tik tik ..... noise or not Key pad of this handset is made up of single piece hard rubber (except navigation key) and makes some tik tik sound. @ chintancm it has only a single micro USB port (socket) to plug charger, headset and data cable. commonman 228 Report post Posted November 15, 2010 @ chintancm it has only a single micro USB port (socket) to plug charger, headset and data cable. And that too non-standard proprietary samsung socket.
vvinayakpai 26 Report post Posted January 16, 2011 (edited) In reliance Website they have listed Samsung Guru B-559 and they claim that the memory of the phone can be expanded to 8GB. I have the phone and never came across any such slot!! Link: http://www.rcom.co.in/rcom/handset/handset_comparator.jsp If the link is not working Go to RCOM website, Click on Handsets, Click on CDMA Tab, Then in the options click on Samsung. All Samsung phones would be listed. Check out the features of Samsung B-559 Edited January 16, 2011 by vvinayakpai

ron22c 0 Report post Posted March 4, 2011 Does this set gets hot when one talks for a long time? My earlier set Guru B519 used to get hot and the current Zen one gets little hot.

arnuld 12 Report post Posted June 15, 2011 (edited) What about the keypad ? is it soft or hard or just average ? Mpower Muzik F219 (at 2800/-) has soft keypad with good sound clarity. I thought I should get B559 if it has same. Edited June 15, 2011 by arnuld
commonman 228 Report post Posted June 15, 2011 sound clarity is exceptionally good. key pad is a little on the hard side.
vvinayakpai 26 Report post Posted June 15, 2011 I agree that the key pad is a little too hard. But I have been using this phone from the past one year and I find it great value for money!!!!!!!!! I dont regret my choice even a single bit.

Jagan T 16 Report post Posted August 17, 2011 Samsung launched new CDMA guru series "guru 539" with double memory card slot (4GB×2), 3.5mm headset and preloaded Twitter web service. Price only Rs.2,336/- Please see this link for details http://www.samsung.c...ail&tab=feature Thanks Kapil. Im also want to create a post for this new model release. Is this 539 model OMH compatible? No mention about OMH in Samsung website. Is it worth to buy?
KAPILKDEV 68 Report post Posted August 17, 2011 Friend srijaga_cbe, don't know whether it is OMH or not. Sellers are advertising that it can be used with Reliance and Tata CDMA services, so it is surely a network unlocked handset. Seeing it's specifications I think it is worth to buy. But compared to guru559 it has a lower capacity battery, ie 559 has 1300mAh battery while 539 has only 1000mAh battery. Please see this link that one seller in ebay says that it can be used in reliance and tata http://cgi.ebay.in/New-Samsung-Guru-539-CDMA-Mobile-Phone-3-5mmJack-/180705671168?pt=IN_Mobile_Phones&hash=item2a12e5b800
