starnet 7 Report post Posted March 31, 2010 (edited) So many new operators are launching their services at almost the similar rock-bottom tariffs with nothing else to differentiate between them. Why can't one of these guys innovate and offer something new? How about offering free voice mail service as is offered by operators in other countries? Why not offer lower rates of GPRS services? Why can't MTS the new CDMA operator offer lower prices for Ev-DO service for customers using USB dongles? Otherwise what is the use of Etisalat or S-tel or Swan or Loop or Videocon or MTS etc. etc. Edited March 31, 2010 by starnet

Honest 836 Report post Posted November 22, 2010 Etisalat Will Say Cheers To Mumbai In December This Year It seems that Cheers Mobile has pressed the panic button and is now pressing hard for launching its services across its licensed areas. If we take the case of Mumbai alone, Cheers Mobile is working hard to place core network as well as sales part in place and is scheduled to kick start it is GSM Services in Mumbai by December this year. Recently reports were on that it would merge its services with either Reliance Communications or with Idea Cellular Ltd. But due to several reasons including valuations, the deal didn’t succeed. Our close source in Cheers Mobile confirmed the same and this said on a condition of anonymity that, “Currently a monthly target for acquiring customers has been set and it is 15,000 customers or 500 customers per day and if everything goes on track we will be flagging off our services this December in Mumbai”. Currently the sim cards are available with almost 40% Mobile retailers in Mumbai and soon it will be increasing. Cheers Mobile Sim card is available for Rs. 49 and the First Recharge amount is Rs. 101 which gives you a talktime of Rs. 91 with an attractive tariff for 365 days.
