Buying Refurbished 8830- How To Check If The Phone Runs On Relaince

Hello,

I'm looking at a couple of refurbished 8830 phones on RIM for purchase. How do I know if these phones can be run on the Reliance Blackberry service. Can I unlock it for use with Reliance CDMA service.

Request fast feedback as I need to get hold of a BB urgently to replace my stolen GSM BB.

If it is not a Reliance BlackBerry 8830 handset then you will not be able to use Reliance CDMA's BIS service.

yeah you can use it with reliance cdma but only for voice n sms... BIS is not possible in cdma... but u can get BIS in gsm mode.

1) Any BB 8830 can be programed for Reliance CDMA

2) but only official BB8830 from reliance will get BIS, not others

3) if you are buying refurbished, ask them for its RSN(not ESN) , as reliance activate their number on RSN.

4) also look for Reliance sticker under battery.
