srk006 21 Report post Posted April 9, 2010 NEW DELHI: Vodafone Essar, India's third-ranked mobile operator and controlled by Vodafone, said on Thursday it has crossed 100 million subscribers in India. Vodafone Essar, which had 97.2 million subscribers as at end-February, becomes the third mobile operator in India to have topped 100 million subscribers after larger rivals Bharti Airtel and Reliance communications. It would also be the fifth operator in the world to have these many subscribers in a single country, after China Mobile and China Unicom as well as Vodafone Essar's two bigger domestic rivals. KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted April 9, 2010 No free calling for a day for Voda customers? Rcom took almost one week or more to announce the offer of free calling on 28th MARCH 2010. So lets give Voda some time to think about it. Maybe they will better the offer and give 100 minutes free across India or even better than that... Or maybe to celebrate 100 million customers, they will charge the customers 100 times the call charges... :rofl_200:

ipkonfig 10 Report post Posted April 9, 2010 I read somewhere (probably in another forum) that Vodafone has waivered call charges to CC until 10th May 2010 - in celebration of the 100 million subscriber achievement.

KumaarShah 143 Report post Posted April 10, 2010 Yes all operators are doing it including our very own RCOM, T-DCM, !dea, Uninor, Airtel, Aircel, etc etc.. Why single out Voda alone? Only by showing so many customers, they are getting more spectrum, so valuations will increase ultimately. Its a big game....
