kesav 127 Report post Posted April 27, 2010 (edited) The subscriber figures as on 31st march 2010 has been released. 1) Airtel --> 3,066,859(WI)+ 127,619,314(WL) = 130686173 2) MTNL+BSNL --> 3,496,754(MTNL-WI)+5,094,016(MTNL-WL)+27,830,560(BSNL-WI)+69,450,012(BSNL-WL) = 105871342 3) Reliance --> 1,177,412(WI)+102,422,145(WL) = 103599557 4) Vodafone --> 100,858,358(WL) = 100858358 5) TATA --> 1,162,276(WI)+65,942,255(WL) = 67104531 6) Idea --> 63,824,688(WL) = 63824688 7) Aircel --> 36,861,174(WL) = 36861174 WI --> Wireline WL --> Wireless Vodafone leads the wireless subscriber addition for the month of March followed by Reliance(2nd), Airtel(3rd), PSUs(BSNL+MTNL) (4th) and TATA(5th) For Vodafone, this is second consecutive pole position. May be ZooZoo in IPL is helping it. Vodafone has breached into 100 Million mark after Airtel, PSUs(BSNL+MTNL) and Reliance. It's interesting to see TATA which was continuous 1st for 5 months before 2 months now relegated to 5th. The gap between the market leader(Airtel) and second position(PSUs) is unhealthily huge. There is quite tough fight in the region of 2nd, 3rd and 4th which is good.
