hiteshkkk1 327 Report post Posted May 8, 2010 (edited) Hi guys... I already have HTC Diamond on my TATA Indicom & always used TATA's 40ps/mb plan for browsing on Handset / PC. Sometimes, I used 10ps/10kb plan too but it had some limitations as it is through Proxy. I used my secondary vodafone no. in SE W810i so never bothered for full fledged GPRS as most of JAVA Apps worked on Vodafone Live (again Proxy based & 10ps/10kb). Last week I got Samsung Galaxy Spica (Android). Its a cool device & really value for money. But, the real problem is, Android cannot connect thru Vodafone Live except browser (which works fine on VL) all other apps / gmail/ etc work on port other than 80. For full GPRS, we have to subscribe to Vodafone Mobile Connect. VMC is one of the costliest GPRS service among all operators. It costs 199 per month + 5ps/10kb which is Bull Sh*t compared to other unlimited gprs plans of other operators. Just today I got to know about 199 etopup for prepaid where we get 100 mb full gprs VMC for 30 days. I am located in Maharashtra so other do check before going ahead. I know 199 too is costly when others are giving gprs at 99 that too unlimited. But then their speed is also hopeless. I had checked Docomo. One option is to go on www.vodafone.in & do online recharge by putting ur no. & then select Validity Recharge n put 199 & search. It shows 100 mb data & val as 30 days. If it shows for ur number too, then u can proceed & enjoy 100 mb data for 30 days on Phone/PC. Check attached pic.. About the service VMC. Guys, VMC speed is really good (atleast as compared to VL). I was able to watch Youtube video on my Android. Edited : One useful info for Vodafone users. You can check your balance MB by dialing *141*10#. Also, try *141*1# to check free SMS balance. You can try numbers (x) from 1 to 10 in *141*x# to check balance for various bonus packs & so on. Also, check this post here which says there are VMC plan @ 25 & 50 too. But I think those are in Chennai. See if it helps. Edited May 9, 2010 by hiteshkkk1
