Once you have Preware there is a app as devmode switcher which dose the type for you and you dont need to type just 2 click and windo of dev shows..

@ Hitesh Lets have the patch waiting for it......

In WebOS Quick Install, there is already a patch to unhide the inbuilt DevMode application. So no need to install the app, just use the patch and it will be there.

Strange Problem:

1x data not working on my Pre with sam1/UTS settings, it is working fine on MDN settings.

Is anybody else is facing this problem with sam1/UTS.

Patch for Sprint TV not yet compatible for 1.4.5.

So I still have two more Sprint icons in my launcher 1). Sprint TV 2). Sprint Bookmark

@ Vinay, its quite simple, the following way:-

What you need:-

1). WebOS Quick Install on your PC

2). Internalz (File Manager Service) on your Palm

What you need to do:-

1). Know the file location of application files on your Pre, its "/usr/palm/applications/" (for stock applications) and "/media/cryptofs/apps/usr/palm/applications/" for user installed applications.

2). Go to application folder you need to change, it should have a file named "appinfo.json", note down the folder name e.g. "com.palm.app.photos"

3). Start WebOS Quick Install, click Tools, Receive Files

4). Put the file location in the field as "/usr/palm/applications/com.palm.app.photos/appinfo.json and choose the destination folder on your PC and click Get from Device

5). This will save the file on your chosen location.

6). Open that file in Word Pad, you will find something like this:

7). Add a comma to the last entry in the list, then below the last item add the text: "visible": "false" with the quotes. Now it should look like this:-

8). Save the file and send back to the same location on your Palm using the tool Send File in WebOS quick install.

That is all, I hide a few apps using this except the Sprint Bookmark. The process may look some lengthy, but its very easy.

I used this for hiding as well as changing icons of a few applications.

i haven't tried profile with 1x data. and i cant see meid on device info.

in device info MEID is blank.

i installed patch given by hitesh. i can see it in preware - installed packages- 51pda.cn- 1.3.5 Meid 20100105

if i connect phone on usb drive mode i can see my meid in config file as CDMA_MEID= (14 digit meid)
