hiteshkkk1 327 Report post Posted May 24, 2010 Hi... Checked ur links.. Do note, even though the sellers have worldwide shipping, but still, u will have to go through all custom hassles in India. You can better try to get the same through ebay's global easy buy (www.ebay.in/geb). They quote all inclusive rates including shipping n customs. I got battery for my Dell Lat D630 the same way just for 2k & quality is really good. Also, ur transaction on GEB is protected by ebay's paisa pay so you dont have to worry. Apart from that, for efficient searching, you can find best deal on www.ebay.com & then copy paste that item number in ebay geb to get rate in INR. That would be best. Hope it helps.. hiteshkkk1 327 Report post Posted May 24, 2010 Go with GEB.. Its best, reliable & fastest... In case of ebay singapore, you will have to face customs issues.. I would rate GEB 5/5...

::Hitesh:: 1,763 Report post Posted May 24, 2010 @shanusmarty Rebuilding the battery pack is always cheaper, Search local electronic shops for the cells. I was doing this long back , each cell will cost Rs 250-350 max.
igloo 1 Report post Posted May 25, 2010 warranty may be available of geb but cost of sending back is .... same with hong kong based seller. The chinese one available in local nehru place market also don't have warranty. I brought one hk based seller for my compaq laptop. Costed me $29... around 1400 was available in nehru place for 2100+. original one from hp cost 6000+ delivered in 15days via indian post. came in brown packet with sponge cover. postman gave to mom. didn't get anything signed. Backup is good as original battery however doesn't fit perfectly in laptop still manageable. Also the battery icon now doesn't show time left only percentage left and finally when battery goes down laptop doesn't hibernate/powr off instead just switch off instantly. igloo 1 Report post Posted May 26, 2010 don't buy it for warranty(its pain to send and receive) only as its cheap. Most of HK sellers mark the package as gift so custom clearance won't be a problem. I brought it from same guy in your singapore link.
