MartinL 0 Report post Posted May 28, 2010 Hello! I have a Samsung SCH-S379, but I do not have a UIM/SIM card for it yet. When I try to connect to my Windows XP PC with New PC Studio (NPS), it sees that there is a device connected but it says 'Identifying the device failed. Move to search new device.' I have tried reinstalling NPS and the USB drivers from the samsungcdma website and the samsung India site. They all have the same problem. Do I have to have a UIM/SIM card in the samsung sch-s379 for NPS to work? If someone has a samsung sch-s379 and uses NPS can you try removing your UIM/SIM card and testing to see if NPS works with your phone without the UIM/SIM card in it? Thank you! prabakar 0 Report post Posted July 4, 2010 (edited) Samsung PC studio software is failure for CDMA phones. Even I have faced the same problem, after number of phone calls to samsung customer care and even once I took my laptop to service center the problem has not been solved by them.
