SumitVerma 187 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 Things are messed up with Tata! They have become quite strict with activation as there were loads of complaints of billings of customer and after scrutinizing the case they came to know issue was cloning and numbers were being used illegally.
parin 857 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 But previously clonnig was not possible for tata than how it can be used illegaly
sougatadc 358 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 If it goes on like this, a considerable amount of users of this forum (who are vying for superior handsets on Tata Indicom network) will loose interest. Because shifting from one handset to another for better taste is a common feature for many users who are members here. Sellers, who are doing a great job of introducing us to modern handset world are also loosing interest.
::Hitesh:: 1,763 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 3 -4 attempts were made for activation, all where activated but only for 7-8 hrs, after this as per tata system number activation is successfully, but actually phone dose not make calls or cant receive, when call this tata number from other number, it shows switch off, when calling from tata number it says plz check the number you have dialed. only 121 get connected. SumitVerma 187 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 You are right, But thats not exactly what Tata system says. There is no a-key issue as per tata server for the same number tried.
Mufaddal 678 Report post Posted November 8, 2010 we have to be smarter than system , only then u achieve what others cant

sgiitk 32 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 Pretty stupid. I will not sell you a decent handset, chage a hand and a leg for what I sell, and will not let you work with a grey market import. A fit case for voting with your feet - take MNP and migrate out!
harshal_1507 1 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 Even Tata's concentration is more on Docomo than Indicom So surely people gonna shift from Tata Indicom
Karthik R 246 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 TATAs wont quit CDMA business altogether as they got pretty much riding on this. Also they are leading in the profitable wireline and data card segment. A recent survey by Brand Equity placed TATA Indicom among the top 5 service brands higher than any other operator whereas DOCOMO havent found a respectable place. What I am intending to say is, TI has established a hard toiled credible network and image which they wont let go for the sake of its immature GSM wing. But they will lose out the same if they continue to follow these restrictive policies.
SumitVerma 187 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 I Might shift to MTS (Help of Sadikk bhai) or if not possible then Reliance (Mufaddal ji and Hitesh Bhai's help) Tata is F**cked up completely!
KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 I will move to Docomo after MNP from Tata Indicom...
goluman 1 Report post Posted November 9, 2010 Same here, will shift to DOCOMO.It has the lousiest service in this part of the country but at least I will be be using a respectable handset. Such monopolistic policies wont help TATA in the long run as they are still not bothered with fair play and customer orientation. Reliance was like this in the early days (when outgoing was Rs 15 and incoming Rs 8)Look how quickly they changed to survive.
