I had been there last year same time & it is awesome to see hat forest !!! ACS 130 Report post Posted June 20, 2010 (edited) Congrats Sadik.. Try having a pvt. tour arranged (with car) for a 7-10 day Kerala trip. In monsoon, its all the more wet & magical.. Can visit Kovalam, Thekkady, Munnar, Backwaters, Coconut Lagoon etc. Would be worth staying in any 'Casino Group of Hotels' where-ever possible for the best honeymoon experience. Regarding suggestion for place, go for Banana County resort in Kranataka. http://www.bananacountyresort.com/index.htm many near by water falls (Jog falls s very near by Indian answer to niagara falls) and Yana Caves. i guess Hogenakkal Falls is not very far (though i m not too sure). over here; films like Roja and Latest Ravana has been shot. And if you want very near to Mumbai. Look for http://www.hideout.co.in/ . though not honeymoon place, but weekdays can be as lonely and as romantic with home like feeling. i know this guy and can vouch for him. csmart 472 Report post Posted June 21, 2010 congrats sadik.. you can try hotel Upper Deck in Lonavalla. its on top of the hill and "cut off" from the rest of the world. you cannot take your vehicle after certain point. hotel's vehicle will take you and with current monsoon season, its really amazing place.. cost about Rs 10000/- for 2nights or so.. other option may be resorts at Silvassa or Saputara.. Beautiful place! For a honeymoon and understanding that you both would wanna spend time with each other, its perfect. The only thing is that you should preferably have your own car to go there...
