Arun 795 Report post Posted June 24, 2010 There is still a fair usage policy: "Up to 15GB usage speeds will be 3.1Mbps, beyond 15GB speeds will be optimized to CDMA 1x( 144Kbps )" http://www.mtsindia.in/mblaze/tariff-guide.html http://www.mtsindia.in/mblaze/mblaze-999-freeusage.html Hope Reliance and TATA will reduce their tariff as well soon after this.

kesav 127 Report post Posted June 25, 2010 (edited) Still BSNL's Rs. 827.25(Rs.750+tax) unlimited for 3.1 Mbps (EVDO Rev. A) rules the data market. No FUP http://bsnl.co.in/service/internet_on_cdma.htm#evdo_ad Edited June 25, 2010 by kesav
SumitVerma 187 Report post Posted June 25, 2010 What speed do you actually get? thats the main point dear
kesav 127 Report post Posted June 25, 2010 Unlike landline, in wireless there's very little scope for operator to influence the speed. Infrastructure of any operator is almost from identical vendors (Huwei,ZTE on CDMA side). Max speed is dependent on implemented protocol(EVDO Rev.0, Rev.A ,Rev. B etc..). Average speed dependent on the distance from BTS and congestion in the n/w. BSNL CDMA n/w is almost without any voice users and least congested.
SumitVerma 187 Report post Posted June 25, 2010 Ahaan! agreed, I was also using bsnl and I never got >70kBps download speed whereas on MTS I am getting atleast 150-200 kBps.
amitnsonu 72 Report post Posted June 25, 2010 Ahaan! agreed, I was also using bsnl and I never got >70kBps download speed whereas on MTS I am getting atleast 150-200 kBps. 70 kBps (comes to ~560 kbps), not bad @750 that too wireless with no fup, atleast better than reliance BB+, MTS and Tata photon plus and also airtel wired BB which is now having very less FUP even on unlimited plans. In MTS offer speed will go down to 144 kbps after 15 GB, I cant imagine 144 kbps in todays time bcoz actual speed will be further low. its better to go offline rather than surfing @ 144 kbps on computer. No FUP Even better is BSNL Mobile WiMAX for Rs.1000 per month with a practical average download speed of 1.9 mbps and 1.5 mbps upload speed
