Angel 2 Report post Posted June 27, 2010 One of the best Roms that can be used with Touch Pro is the Energy ROM. Try the latest version, it shows the cutting edge technology of Windows 6.5 and what touch pro can really offer Here is the official link http://forum.ppcgeeks.com/showthread.php?t=69545

tanveer 59 Report post Posted June 28, 2010 I had used it for diamond. It was too loaded for my liking. So I switched back to OMJ. I dont think OMJ makes ROMS for TP.

::Hitesh:: 1,763 Report post Posted June 28, 2010 is it advisable? even i thought so from the description.. aslo can we go back to original Sprint ROM after this or not? Its fun loading roms , loosing your data (without backup), and going back to stock one, try it.

NRGZ28 has done a fantastic job creating this one.
santanu@impaq 16 Report post Posted June 29, 2010 My Take is OMJ for Diamond and RootRom for TP. For TP2 NRG is a good option
sumitnda 6 Report post Posted July 8, 2010 hey guys, i'm using touch pro with WM 6.1 on reliance. i want to know that if i upgrade my rom to 6.5 (energy or whichever) then hw will the reliance settings be reset? will my number still work for reliance? can any one plz advice me how to go abt it, or in case the info is already there on rimweb and i've missed it, kindly point me to that.. thanks sumit
santanu@impaq 16 Report post Posted July 8, 2010 Hardspl if not already done Then install any custom rom for TP Your Reliance programming will remain unaffected. You will need to redo the data provisioning in the new rom but that is easy. Search the forum and you will find all your answers. In the unlikely event of anything going wrong help is available. tanveer 59 Report post Posted July 9, 2010 You may have to load the reliance prl again so that you dont get that irritating roaming sign.
santanu@impaq 16 Report post Posted July 9, 2010 Also my advice is not to use NRG on TP. Highly modded and too much Bloat. Slows down device considerably. Erratic Hardware keyboard behaviour. Altough these are my personal observations.

Yes.. it is just brilliant in Touch Pro.. I am currently using it in diamond and I have a Reliance connection.. It runs the latest Manila version as well! @angel did u tried it? many had used and found it good. i want to know about indian conditions and that too on Reliance, if possible. if you have used it, then pls post your feedback.. thnx.. The Rom works like a charm in my Touch Pro.. Its not slow and stuff.. I would say its brilliant.. I am using a Reliance connection with it. is it advisable? even i thought so from the description.. aslo can we go back to original Sprint ROM after this or not? Yes it is possible but why would you wanna go to Sprint ROM anyway? The original OS in it is really bad.. hey guys, i'm using touch pro with WM 6.1 on reliance. i want to know that if i upgrade my rom to 6.5 (energy or whichever) then hw will the reliance settings be reset? will my number still work for reliance? can any one plz advice me how to go abt it, or in case the info is already there on rimweb and i've missed it, kindly point me to that.. thanks sumit Nothing will be reset.. And in order to flash ROM's , just download the Flashing Utility and follow the instructions.. You may have to load the reliance prl again so that you dont get that irritating roaming sign. The roaming alert is disable in this ROM so you don't need to do anything with the prl Also my advice is not to use NRG on TP. Highly modded and too much Bloat. Slows down device considerably. Erratic Hardware keyboard behaviour. Altough these are my personal observations. Have you been flashing a lot? If that is the case it tends to slow down the device. Doing task 29 will solve the issue of sluggishness and bloating.. The ROM is really fast and there is no problem with the Hardware keyboard To all... Initially once you load the ROM.. It will take a few minutes to load.. You just need to wait.. If it turns out to be sluggish and slow that means you will need to do something called 'Task 29'. When phones are flashed over and over a lot this happens. What Task 29 actually does is , it completely erases the Rom and then you can install your custom ROM. Now you will notice the best performance from your phone..
santanu@impaq 16 Report post Posted July 18, 2010 Task 29 highly recomended. It formats the ROM accessable area of NAND Flash. Almost all nick and issues get solved after a Task 29. The July14.Sense2.5.Cookie of NRZ is a good ROM . Tried it on 15th July and till 17th night and found it to be good/almost flawless But went back to RootROM since I found it faster/ more responsive

Anyway it varies according to personal preferences! Did you notice any battery standby differences between the two Roms by the way?
santanu@impaq 16 Report post Posted July 18, 2010 It is actually the standby backup where root scores. In terms of goodies NRG offer a lot more.
Angel 2 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 (edited) It is actually the standby backup where root scores. In terms of goodies NRG offer a lot more. Oh great! Have you noticed a difference while roaming? It stays closely around 13 hours in EnergyRom while roaming. How about yours? Edited July 19, 2010 by Angel
ememdy 4 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 How do you EPST or put the phone DIAG mode in energyROM ##3424# or ##3424 (dial) seem to not working
Angel 2 Report post Posted July 19, 2010 How do you EPST or put the phone DIAG mode in energyROM ##3424# or ##3424 (dial) seem to not working In total commander go to the windows folder and search for epst.exe and dmrouter.exe Create shortcuts for each of them somewhere in SD card. Once you create the shortcut, check out its properties, there will be two tabs 'General' and 'Shortcut'. In 'Shortcut' tab put the following in the Target box For EPST "\Windows\EPST.exe" ##778 For DMRouter "\Windows\DMRouter.exe" /DIAG Now click on the shortcuts, it should work now. ememdy 4 Report post Posted July 20, 2010 For EPST "\Windows\EPST.exe" ##778 For DMRouter "\Windows\DMRouter.exe" /DIAG Now click on the shortcuts, it should work now. EPST worked with that method but DIAG wouldn't budge. So got it working through nOpen BTW i have successfully ported my reliance number from Mogul to HTC TP BIG to Angel and Dr. Mufaddal I am on energyrom. All data / voice working fine except SMS I am unable to send or receive SMS . TP generates "error synchronizing" - cause code -
