Eg- ECM in cars will be replaced by downloadble profiles for in cell phones... all u need to do is plus in yr cell phone & it will run as per your spec. If your dad uses the car... he will run it as per his spec from his cell phone... Similarly no need to remember the microwave or washing machine settings...
