Sprint Hero Bricked, Need Help To Save It

Recommended Posts

Friends,

I have SPRINT HERO which seems bricked to me, it keeps restarting after the HTC Screen.

But it goes into booloader mode but cant do much on it.

Bootloader screen is like this :

HERO XC SHIP S-ON

H-BOOT-1.47.0000 (HERO20000)

MICROP-0110

TOUCH PANEL-SYN0104

RADIO-2.42.01.04.27

Mar 1 2010,16.02.39.

Guys i would really appreciate if someone can help me out and get this hero working back to normal.

Thanks !

If you can get into bootloader, just flash with the official rom and that will sort out the issue afaik.

DK once told me that it was very difficult to brick a hero. I assured him I was capable of it. Did not know there are others as capable here.

If your old Rom was app2sd capable, first wipe every thing in recovery, then install original Rom through ruu . U may have to check memory card too

I just checked getting into recover pressing the HOME button when power on ... it doesnt go into recovery also

I reloaded the ruu but still it reboots right after the HTC Screen.

I suspect some hardware issue. wot say?

Doesnt seem like a harware issue as you are able to access both bootloader and recovery.

Why dont you try both the latest rom and previous rom?

I hope you/owner didnt previously try loading a GSM Hero rom by mistake on this cdma hero; that is know to mess up radio hardware...

if that would have happened it would have toasted the phone completely with no power whatsoever, whereas he can get in the bootloader and can read the radio version as well. I strongly doubt that would have happen.

reboot loops are many times caused because of Apps2SD and corrupt memory card so that ext2 can not be loaded. I too faced similar problem after clockwork mod, later I had to delete all partitions and redo entire memory card. Check your memory card, else what HP said could be final.
