sh4de 0 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 Hi there. I've asked this question in several forums, but I never got an answer. I'm a newbie at Palm Pre. Bought it one week ago. And just wanted to ask, if I have to remove all my Preware-Apps, patches, cracked games etc. before I run the webOS update from my device? Thank you very much in advance for your help! ami1 237 Report post Posted July 23, 2010 ^ No, its not required to remove preware etc before webos update. Only some experimental/beta kernels or any patches which specifically mention that they should be removed. Otherwise just download the new ROM image and doctor. But don't download sprint rom images, get them from treo8 (links in this forum under palm>pre updated to 1.4.1.1 topic) so that there is palm profile bypass - otherwise you may be stuck at the palm profile login screen. (This is assuming you sprint/verizon pre has been programmed for working in India on Reliance or Tata)
