Well given the price of 9990 and the mouth watering specs, it can be said to be a really good deal. Only one thing is not clear. They are saying in the spec Android 2.1 Ready! Now this can have different meanings, -It is not Android 2.1 but can be upgraded to 2.1. -It is Android 2.1 If it is not Android 2.1, then you will have to wait for Spice to make available the 2.1 upgrade. Otherwise the phone looks like an amazing deal.

KanagaDeepan 1,084 Report post Posted October 29, 2010 Well given the price of 9990 and the mouth watering specs, it can be said to be a really good deal. Only one thing is not clear. They are saying in the spec Android 2.1 Ready! Surely, the Android version is NOT 2.1... And we can't hope spice will release update in near future.. They just know how to paste their name-sticker on the Chinese-Handsets they import..

commonman 228 Report post Posted October 30, 2010 (edited) ^^^ The handset comes with Andriod 1.6 But anyone with only basic knowledge of Internet and practically no knowledge of Smartphone or Anroid would be able to download and upgrade to 2.1 in about 20 mins. I have seen the handset in operation with MTNL 3G connection. The user was himself able to successfully upgrade to 2.1 the day of purchase. It does not have video call facility. But after installing Skype, it is possible to do Skype VOIP and Skype Out calls directly (I have seen Skype not working in some other handsets). GPS also seems to work well with the location of the handset showing in the Map fairly correct. Spice has now increased the official price to Rs. 10500 The build quality seems a little doubtful though. Edited October 30, 2010 by commonman
