Most of the features are similar to the Micromax Funbook Talk (P350) that was launched last year including a 7-inch capacitive touch screen display and Android 4.0 (Ice Cream Sandwich), but this one is powered by a 1 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon (MSM8225A) processor instead of 1 GHz Allwinner A10 processor in the P350. It has a 2MP camera at the back and a front-facing camera. It also has voice calling and 3G support. No details about the display resolution or the battery capacity yet. This voice-calling Android tablet will be sold for Rs 15,999 and go on sale beginning April 30. Asus Fonepad joins the company’s already available Android tablets Nexus 7 and Memo Pad in the country. Fonepad is the first Asus Android tablet to come with Intel Atom processor on-board. Turns out the company is the second-largest smartphone maker in its native country, on top of dabbling in the HDTV and tablet spaces (and really awful slogans like "Nothing Like Anything"), among others. Micromax is hitting CES this year with a pretty interesting offering: a dual-boot tablet. Targeted, perhaps, at the indecisive, the LapTab runs both Windows 8.1 and Android Jelly Bean, so you don't need to permanently commit. The tablet's got a 10.1-inch 1,280 x 800 display and front- and rear-facing 2-megapixel cameras. Inside is a 1.46GHz processor, 2GB of RAM and 32GB of built-in storage.
