Hi, Guys, i'm Rahul From Gandhinagar, I'm quiet old member of RIMWeb.

I'm a Student, but alos started working for RIM Prepaid, here in Gandhinagar Gujarat.

So, i wanted to ask all of you, what are the costs, of the handsets in ur area.

Let's Start with Nokia 2280...

I would request you to kindly take a survey in ur local and post the least price for NOKIA 2280 in prepaid.....in ur area.

Infact, We can buy handsets from the place where the cost is the least.

Also, u can ask me about ur Official RIM queries.

Thanks, and infact one more thing, RIM does not charges any thing for transfer of SDCA, so we can buy any phone, at the lowest rates, given that Courier charges, included, costs less than the other region.

Do you know which region has cheaper phones. Also, is there a price differential between the web world per se and the web world express. The WWE guys are quoting 2 different prices based on whether handsets are going to be used for prepaid or postpaid. Here in Bangalore, for example, one web world quoted 2999 for Samsung slim while WWE said the same could be availed off at 2300.

The WWE guys r equally duh! I met 1 yesterday. They r quoting 2 rates becoz of the difference in price for the GSK. so if the handset actually costs Rs. 2999, then the prepaid counterpart will cost 2999+220 n Postpaid will cost 2999+550. They dont talk abt GSK, they simply quote the price. Sadly they dont even know the exact prices. I've got some from the WWE yesterday, but he wasn't quite sure! Anyways.. here are some

LG RD 6000 - 10000(PrePaid) & 10349(Postpaid)

Nokia 6225 - 12000(PrePaid) Approx

LG RD 6130 - 7000 (Prepaid) & 7349 (Postpaid)

Kindly Note that, newer phones do not come with a preallocated number. You can buy a starter kit for 220/- (Secret: Actual delare price, u can get fro 160/- only) locally and activate the phone in ur area, with a number of your choice.

Abhishek, is the LG 5130 u are talking about brand new non activated? If Yes, from which region?

Tanveer, is SLIM non activated?

And without a preallocated number?

It was activated for 2-3 minutes and then deactivated using HCC. If u want the details i can PM u the details why and how it was done. It was an unprovisioned handset and now it is a deprovisioned one and can be used with a GSK. It was never used to make a call even and has the pack,battery and other thing with it.

I am not going to be fooled because i am not going to buy a new handset. this i posted for the others and also see that the message says it is EXH ( exchange rates) so probably u will have to give back your old handset and get a fresh one.

The prices nowadays ARE without GSK. That means its jus the handset cost. To get a prepaid or postpaid connection u will need to buy a GSK accordingly worth 220 or 550 bucks! thts the reason of "variation"!

I am planing to buy a handset for someone.

1. What are the present prices of

Nokia: 3105, 3205, 6012, 6225, 6585

Which has the best battery?

What are the prices of data cables of these phones in the web world/ gray market? especially 6130 and 2030

Anyone knowing a part of my query is most welcome to contribute
