KAPILKDEV 68 Report post Posted September 8, 2010 Virgin mobile (Prepaid GSM) slashed call charges to 40 paise per minute (local & STD). Actually the good news is that no extra pack, no daily rental, no conditions, no limits, no F.U.P.
raccoon 53 Report post Posted September 8, 2010 (edited) Seems Virgin has picked up from where RCom left off (Simple tariffs). This must be the cheapest mobile tariff, as of now, which is without any monthly commitment/STV. Not considering Uninor, as the discounts vary, hence difficult to compare. Karthik R 246 Report post Posted September 24, 2010 Even though Virgin is sharing TATA teleservices's tower and network, there isnt many retail outlets or recharge shops dealing in them. Should improve on the availability first! (maybe this shortage or lack lusture distributionship is limited to Kerala alone.)

kesav 127 Report post Posted September 30, 2010 Virgin is not MVNO operator, just a franchise for TTSL&TTML. MVNO is still not allowed in India.

Karthik R 246 Report post Posted October 1, 2010 I think Tata Indicom provides me better value with - All Local calls including landline @ 30p/min. STD calls @ 50p/min. Sms @ 30p. Roaming @ 50p/min. - Activating sms plan of Rs.55 endows me with 7500 local and national sms valid for 30 days (this sms plan may not be attractive to chronic texters but suits my needs just fine)
