m.khurana 17 Report post Posted September 20, 2010 I am on Verizon BB 8330.For the past 2 days I am getting this message on home screen "NETWORK ERROR !PLEASE CHECK NETWORK SETTINGS AND SIGNAL LEVEL!" The error is coming randomly and it pops up the screen and can be removed by pressing OK key. Although it's not making any functionality issues but it's frustrating when incoming call is coming or I am typing a sms or finding a contact and this error pops up and I have to press ok and then proceed further... I have tried resetting the device but the problem is persisting. If anyone aware of the solution of this kind Kindly post the solution.

ami1 237 Report post Posted September 21, 2010 ^ Yes, Even I used to get really confused with that message thinking there's some problem in the phone programming. Took me many days to realize it was Shangmail trying to access internet while data is off.
::Hitesh:: 1,763 Report post Posted September 21, 2010 Shangmail is software for push mail, so it is going to access Internet as per schedule .

ami1 237 Report post Posted October 14, 2010 is there any application to kill all the processes..?? I have uninstalled all applications as of now..!! You just need to click "Pause" in shangmail menu when you are not connected to Data. Then you won't get the error. Whenever you connect data just select 'Resume' in shangmail (and then 'retrieve email')
