All about LG RD6000

This is a method that great minds here on this forum have developed not provided by reliance and LG. As far as they are concerned they have provided an inaddequate phone and this is the case with 6130 as well. When they say MMS enabled why dont they tell that these phones do not recieve MMS from other phones ( though it can be done using the web)?

Isnt it wrong on the part of reliance and LG?

This is so because the phone was developed for the US market where they wanted to charge the customers for every photo download via MMS.

However bitpim has not been developed by great minds of this forum but by Americans who like Indians do not like to be fleeced by the Service Providers.

The phone used to receive MMS from other phones as well as by email. I dunno what the status / problem is currently. Maybe Relicance has some servers down.

Its true that our members didnt develop bitpim.

But they discovered the method to u/l wallpapers & ringtones in RIM phones using bitpim.

Thats the thing that Tanveer mentioned in his post!

Bitpim site never mentioned that u can use bitpim for Reliance CDMA phones to upload these things.

6000 was developed for USA so was Bit pim. Reliance normally ask the companies to make changes in software.

Has anyone been able to add ringtones to 6000 using Bit Pim? If yes please mention version.

any speaker phone?

does this phone display CLIP with flap closed.

any change in cost?

LG 6000 is in very high demand. The price of this phone is nothing less than 9200-9500 with the dealers.

i have bought a USB data cable from market. it is working fine with R Connect.

But i want to transfer my photos to and from my PC and also i have many MIDI ringtone files on my pc, which i would like to transfer to my phone. IS it possible to do that?

i tried sending these things via 91 ( ph no. )@mms.ricmail......bla bla. but it did not work at all. i am a reliance infocomm employee and i tried using ou internal portan also to send mms. but it did not reach my phone.

and what is this 'avtar' ????

By the way any customer can be cheated...right....when i buy another phone for my personal use..i also become a customer...ya if i have any problem with my official RIM ( stupid RD2030 ) then we have an in-house LG service center who repairs it immediately. but i tell u these guys r not much friendly and they never share info. like bitpim and stuff like that.

i downloaded bitpim yesterday. but some error is coming when i am trying to install. i have XP professional version at home. can you help me with this????

and of course GTran S**KS..........

and no mms are reaching my phone when i e-mail to phoneno.@mms.ricmail.com

any solution for that????

I understand employees can be customers.

Why is Reliance introducing handsets like LG 6000 or GTran? Why don’t they check the handset before they actually introduce it in the market?

Good quality handsets like LG 2030 or N191 are no more available. All the new models have bugs.

Any way if Reliance has launched faulty LG 6000 or GTran why doesn’t it admits it fault and provides replacement.

U being an employee aware of actual problems can help Reliance a lot.

Today in ww I was told that new stock of LG 6000 has arrived. they were selling it for Rs 9300/-.

It has been imported in March 2005.

is there some improvement in it or just the same in new pack.

It is no new stock. Its been around for quite long. Thats the price, coz its a hot selling item and hence low in stock and hence dealers want to cash in on it! Nothing new in it.. The same thing... U need to upgrade the s/w on it from a LG ASC.

what is the file format of the sound recorded with the sound recorder of 6000?

and what is the biggest size of the file ?

the file format is .qcp and max of 4mins can be recorded

so if we send this file to a 6130 as a MMS then it also works in that set as a ringtone..

this is good but can we also send a voice tone by another way to 6130 , like PC or email?

copied form other forum and do not thank to me also sory if some other had posted this before

1. Open up any .mp3 file in a free music editor program like Audacity (or soundforge ) and clip

out part of the file that you wish to make into a ringtone, keeping it at

about 30 seconds.

2. For best sound keep the .mp3 at 24 bit sample rate, 44khz frequency and

stereo, no need to change any of these attributes.

3. Change the encoder bit rate down to between 48 and 64, then resave the

.mp3 making sure that it is not bigger than 300kb. Anything encoded under

48 bit rate will sound bad and anything over 64 is a waste and the file size

becomes to big.

4. Find your new 30 second .mp3 on your hard drive, make sure you have

file extensions turned on in windows (explorer/tools/folder options) and

then right click the file and change the extension from .mp3 to .mid

5. download to the phone via data cable using version bitpim-0.62-forVX6000

( this version is only for 6000 ) ( to get this file search or google for bitpim-0.62-forVX6000-setup.exe)

hi all,

I'm a new member and also a user of LG6000 ('bout six months) at starting the phone was sending and receiving MMS to any Rel phone or e-mail but from last 2-3 months it's creating problems in sending MMS (I'm having no problem in receiving MMS through other Rel phone) 'coz of this prob i'm not being able to send the pics from my Mob. to PC. Kindly let me know whether u ppl are also facing the same prob or only myself.

I just got my laptop and since mu job is a kind of travelling one. I thought of going for R Connect internet service of the reliance. But since I have RD6000 set the reliance people are saying this set does not support it.

Has anybody of you faced this kind of problem?

If yes please tell me the solution. I would be very thankful to you

i'd like 2 keep this post short n simple.

i've used dis phone for about a week now and i came across the foll. pts:

gud 1's

1. gr8 looks, u surely get into notice wid dis one

2. large n bright lcd

3. good camera, images r of 640x480 size, includes fun frames, 4 colours( colour, b&w, ambience n negative), self potrait , multi shot

4.large phone book with avtar.

5. easier group msging

7. fabulous speaker

8. easily acceible menu

9. voice memo , answering machine, call recording available.

conclusion - expected more but not a bad deal for 9799/-, gr8 if u just want to use it as a phone and not as a interactive device.  lacks in basic features which other phones provide like larger memory, r-world services etc.

1.) whats the current price in Mumbai ?

2.) will i be able to send a MMS to an email address ??

( otherwise not much use to me !! )
