Not able to use Yahoo messenger & Gtalk on my Sprint BB 8830(GSM).

I have updated the device software version to 4.5.0.186 & activated vodafone blackberry services, I am able to access mail but not Yahoo messenger & Gtalk.

Pls guide if any setting need to be changed to work with Yahoo mess & Gtalk.

hehe i was having same problem but just the opposite

i can use Gtalk and yahoo and can surf internet. but cannot get mails working

What error do you get when you connect?

When i try to download yahoo messenger/GTalk buy clicking the download ickons in the device it says 'IT policy do not allow third party download'.

When you go back it says downloaded succesfully,but we cant see yahoo messenger/GTalk in BB.

When contacted Vodafone they asked me to check the status of Firewall in security settings,firewall was enabled & they have asked me to disable firewall.But i dont know how to disable firewall.

Can you try resending the Service Book through Vodafone portal?
