rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted June 1, 2011 @Dinesh For an entry level laser, Samsung ML-1866 from Letsbuy at Rs 4,249 (after applying rcomlb1 discount code) is a good choice http://www.letsbuy.c...-ml1866-p-15377 Though i think that it may be Samsung ML-1666 only as no model like ML-1866 is on Samsung Website. Letsbuy might have made a spelling mistake OR the difference could be a Starter Toner Cartridge & Full Toner Cartridge. Should confirm first. It has also listed ML-1666 at a higher price http://www.letsbuy.c...-ml1666-p-10800 And this printers may be available at same/lesser cost in good computer markets.. Major dilemma is due to 1k difference in price. Else i don't need physical keyboard. Seems will finalize fit at 9750/- less 5% max 500 ebay discount coupon. Let me know if any better deal. Thanks n yes as usual jabardast dialog in the end.
raccoon 53 Report post Posted June 2, 2011 Both those Samsungs don't impress when compared to the Optimus One. Got to see working pieces in a shop recently. Their cameras may be the only saving grace compared to the O1 (not that I'v personally compared). However, the dust under screen problem kills the deal for Optimus One. rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted June 2, 2011 Seems will finalize fit at 9750/- less 5% max 500 ebay discount coupon. Let me know if any better deal. You can leave that Samsung Galaxy Fit aside and buy Dell XCD 35 at a net price of Rs 9,494 from letsbuy http://www.letsbuy.c...l-xcd35-p-11957 (You have to use the new discount code icicilb which gives a max discount of Rs 1,200 compared to Rs 1,000 of rcomlb1) Dell XCD 35 is a much better phone from those fit's & 551's of samsung in all aspects... And now with Android 2.2 Froyo Spec Link http://www.dell.com/...35/pd?cs=indhs1 3.5 Screen, 800x480 Resolution, Flash: 512M, RAM 256M
hiteshkkk1 327 Report post Posted June 3, 2011 Rajanbhai is really keeda in finding deals.. XCD35 seems better than fit / 5510 in terms of screen size, resolution, ram. But, still have some doubts. 1. Lets buy link shows OS as 2.1 but dell site shows 2.2. Any idea as to new it will be 2.2 or any info on how to update. I googled & all said I have to send to service center at Mumbai, Pune or Nagpur. Bit tedious task!! 2. Does it features smart dialing as in samsung phones??? Like to call Rajanbhai, it just can find his name by dialing 72526 & all names in this combination will be filtered or not?? I really missed this feature on my old galaxy spica. Though can install dialer one for the same but still was curious. No other doubt but just the fact its dell (& not samsung with one of the highest market share) so getting resale would be on a lower side. Though this is for my dad & he will use it atleast 18-20 months or even more so not that imp. Apart, any other owners here who can vouch the quality of this phone?? Will order on 8th (my cr cards new billin cycle starts on that day so will get a month to pay). Thanks all & specially Rajanaji...
hiteshkkk1 327 Report post Posted June 3, 2011 (edited) ^^^ Finally purchased HTC Wildfire S from www.letsbuy.com @ (13899-1200=12699) using icicilb. Even though tight on budget, I couldnt resist high res, android 2.3 & htc's quality. Best part is, even using icici code, i paid using my hdfc cr card... Will post small review once I get it... Thanks for all replies.. Edited June 4, 2011 by hiteshkkk1
raccoon 53 Report post Posted June 3, 2011 (edited) Good choice, I guess. Main drawback may be the battery though. The Samsungs in that range don't impress at all. The XCD35's screen impresses you right off and definitely seems to be the better option, esp. given its price, support for custom ROMs, etc. Do post your review soon.
