I think that production of another run of touchpads is to fulfill the huge backorders they have that are placed during the firesale weekend on hp.com(& some third party resellers), I've read comments left by people who ordered on hp.com but didn't get their orders got through, when they called HP CC they were told that there orders would be fulfilled when the next bunch of TP arrive, strictly basing on the order(first come first serve). So, I wonder whether we get another chance to buy TP at firesale price. @Smnrock can u tell how much it costs to get TP shipped to India through sns(shipping + custom duties), I have my TP delivered to NJ, US. If you convert to INR : approx Rs 10,750 plus SNS charges and duties which i think should not be more than Rs 1000( including duties, correct me if i m wrong.) Total cost : Rs 11750. Selling on letsbuy.com after rcomlb1 at Rs 17300. A discount of more than 30 %. Looks like a nice deal to me. As refurbish will hardly matter with 90 days woot warranty. Second, custom duty on iPod will be 26.849%. So total landed cost in India through SNS will be 10,750 + 2,886 (Custom) + 750 (Approx Shipping) = 14,386.
