Have used it personally & am very satisfied. For multiple source recordings such as a music band or recording of a theatre play, go with the Zoom H2n which costs around 12k. The H2n offers finer control to focus the acoustic space which you want to cover. As always there are mic-recorders which can go up to even a lakh for better features but for basic starter kits, the ones above are great. Another great company is Tascam but I find their India prices costing almost 80-90% more which is unreasonable. Zoom is much better in this regard of fairer pricing. Mumbai has a good brick n mortar dealer shop located very close to VT (CST) Station. Its called Shalu Music. You can find the recorders there. The Zoom distributer located at Worli does not sell to end users directly. One has to buy from their dealers. Hope that helps.
kshah 452 Report post Posted March 7, 2012 TO ALL RIMWEBIAN May I request members stop posting deals for timtara.com? I see so many complaints of timtara and I have witnessed it. I placed an order for camara on 12 Jan 2012, their usual time of shipping was 7-10 working days. They kept on making false promises of 3 days to 7 days and finally when I threatened them to lodge a police complaint, they refunded my money (it shows so on their web site) They practically do not have any CC and their replies are as stereo type as possible. Please note that 14.5 K around were blocked for 2 months and it is neither pleasant experience nor any one should waste so much of time in apprehension because one has already paid. I am trying to find out list of their investors and planning to write them so that they do not keep on funding frauds.

Thanks Rajan Sir, I insisted they commit either in writing or email to full refund. They have done so, and I allowed their courier agent to pick up parcel. Now waiting for cheque.
