1. Blood pressure monitor (though not strictly electronics but posting here for greater information)

2. CD player - use will be to play music CDs primarily. Our music system does not have CD player hence need for standalone player. Already have DVD player which connects to TV.

I am using omron digital bp machine more than 6 months and it is working great .its fully automatic . Very easy to use . The included batteries also working since purchased .

There are two types of bp moniter available in market one is wrist type and another arm type .

Always buy arm type .

If you ask any doctor, they will tell you that there is nothing that can match good old manual BP monitors for accuracy.

Atleast i have not seen any doctor, small or big till now using digital BP monitors for patients.

Of course some learning curve & patience is required for using it which most don't have in today's age of instant nirvana.

I guess few use standalone CD players today, so they are dead as a category from good brands. Ofcourse top audiophile HiFi brands sell standalone CD players but those are costly and should be above 20K.

Yes, I got one MP3 player (Local brand) with USB port + FM Receiver + LOUDDD Speaker for Rs600 for my mom and she is loving it... Forgot to mention that it comes with remote control too...
