Select any good one from reputed sellers. Would suggest to go for latest standard version 1.4 as it supports 3D over HDMI , Ethernet channel, Audio return channel (ARC)and 4K × 2K resolution. Because there is a lot of marketing hype involved in expensive HDMI cable business. They aren't as many times good as their prices are with respect to the actual picture quality, technical parameters. Forget that, not even twice good. Of course build quality, visually and actually may be better in case of branded ones.

Personally i have used both: Cheaper ones from good source and the expensive branded ones and come to a conclusion that the expensive ones really are no justification for the asking price.

While chossing the Cable consider the length also - 5Metres or more is convenient to play from a distance while using Laptop / other gadgets.

Probably more than the standard length, it may amount to loss in picture quality?

But technically i don't know about output quality.

I have 1 question if I buy HDMI 1.4 cable will it work with media player/TV even though both do not support 3D. i.e. Is 1.4 cable backward compatible with 1.3

Can someone give me a superb deal on Wireless HD streaming? Like I have a Receiver in the first floor, and I have the HDMI Player (Blu Ray/DVD/POHD) in the ground floor with my TV. But I would want to stream (Audio and Video) from such a player in ground floor to first floor to my receiver, which is connected to my Home Theatre. There is a clear Line of Sight between the ground and first floor (a 'hole' between the two floors)
