tanveer 59 Report post Posted November 26, 2010 (edited) Xtreamer pro customer care is not that great Besides I dont think Xtreamer pro has specs much higher than POHD and WDTV live. The only possible difference would be that some people claim that it can play DTS MA and Dolby Tru HD. But that are also playable on newer chipsets of POHD and WDTV Edited November 26, 2010 by tanveer

rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted December 6, 2010 http://www.naaptol.c...print_8830.html BB8830 @ 5999/- only... Today afternoon, I called up naaptol to investigate further as the deal looked nice. My conversation -Hi, Came across Blackberry 8830 Sprint posted on your website for Rs 5,999. Have some technical query regarding this. Yes sir, -Does this phone work in CDMA network like Reliance and TATA? The phone works with every network. -As you are specifying it is a Sprint Blackberry 8830, Do you mean that it is unlocked by you to work on other network? ......uhhh.....Sir you have to use the Sim Card of any mobile and it works -I understand that it is a world phone and works with CDMA and GSM networks one at a time. But Since it is a Sprint Blackberry handset, it will be tied to their network. Unless it is unlocked, it does not allow you to use any other network operator's SIM Card and you cannot use it as a GSM handset.. ..with sim card it works Sir -O.K. leave aside GSM, tell me the CDMA part. For it to be working in CDMA, it needs to be programmed? Is this handset programmed to be used on Reliance and Tata Network? Sir you can put Reliance or Tata CDMA Sim. Now CDMA Sim comes.. By this time the fellow was deeply troubled and shaken up a bit by my persistence and asked to be online and transferred to his senior. Repeated the same QA session. Now even this guy was shaken and could not answer satisfactorily. He said i don't want to give incorrect info and said i am transferring the line to our Senior Most person who will be able to tell the correct thing. Again the same QA wherein i told that the same type of question is asked by 15-20 people on their product page for this BB 8830 deal but no answers from them. After which the Senior Most person said our technical head will be knowing better and he will contact them and call me back within 10 minutes with correct information. No call back or further info from them. It is about 8.55 p.m. now. All RIMweb members draw your own conclusion from the above and be cautious.

raccoon 53 Report post Posted December 20, 2010 (edited) Letsbuy.com is offering all its wares (mobiles, home appliances, laptops, etc) at 15% discount to RCom post-paid customers and 10% off for ICICI Bank customers. Sounds really tempting! However, I did some research - reviews of the site on the net are not good. For eg. just check on Mouthshut. Anybody knows how good or bad the site is? 15% off is really tempting when you are buying stuff in this range. Edited December 20, 2010 by raccoon

ACS 130 Report post Posted December 28, 2010 Today afternoon, I called up naaptol to investigate further as the deal looked nice. Hey Rajan.. i too had a similar experience.. few hilarious points: * Its a newly launched Sprint BB model ! * It works with both CDMA/GSM, just insert the SIM, why do u need to further program it ? * We have the best deals, can i help you with other phones available ? I tried educating the guy for 2 mins on the 8830 WE (of whatever i knew) and he went 'duh.. huh' They had 'no technical assistance' in my case, so the fun sadly stopped there..
