konquerror 21 Report post Posted July 3, 2011 Each and every website is opening sans the letsbuy.com site. So, what can I say Rajan ji? I'm now at Kharghar, Navi Mumbai. Till yesterday noon, it was opening without any difficulty. Must be DNS problem...try switching to Google DNS or Open DNS... PS: I stay in Vashi and site is just opening fine...

raccoon 53 Report post Posted July 4, 2011 (edited) I need to buy a Dishwasher for my mother in Ahmedabad. I checked on net and mainly IFB, Seimens and LG are the main player in this segment. Heir has entered in this segment a couple of months back. I checked all of them in showrooms. They are mostly similar in built and looks. All of them come in the range of 28 to 30k except one LG model which is at 39k. The netizens are divided on these machines mainly on their after sales service and it seems that though IFB is largest selling, has maximum after sales service problem and the user are highly dissatisfied. I am really confused on this. Can anybody guide me here ? I would not recommend IFB to you at all. Its a long story, but it is not durable at all. And its not just about one machine. After lot of noise, IFB replaced ours, and the replacement is also giving problems. Latest was that the PCB conked out. Its beyond me how PCBs in new machines fail like this. It can't be due to surges as we have not had issues with any other appliances, and also have a central high/low voltage protector. In fact if you read online, lots of people have the same issue. And its not just the PCB, you will have to keep repairing/replacing things in rotation. The low quality parts are pretty damn expensive. You will always be at the mercy of the repair guys and will have to be stuck at home for hours. Read up more on team-bhp, if interested. That said, I don't agree that dishwashers are not suitable for Indian conditions, etc. The machine washes pretty well WHEN IT WORKS PROPERLY. In fact the wash quality can be much better than normal hand washing and far better than what the usual maid will do. Not to mention, it is by far, far more hygienic as it uses hot water and chlorine (IFB detergent is chlorine based, others I have seen, like Finish, are enzyme based). Machine washing uses much less water too. Yes, you gotta use some grey matter and learn how to use it right, else you will start blaming the machine. That's what my mom started doing initially. So the issue is only about IFB dishwashers durability. It may wash pretty well when it works properly, but it will not work properly most of the time and parts will keep failing and IFB will want to sell you expensive service contracts to rub it in. Its a win-win situation for IFB - sell low quality goods and then make more money thru expensive spares, service and annual contracts. Even if you are ready to pay for the annual contracts, make sure you have heaps of time to wait on the repair guys. If parts are not in stock be ready to accept weeks/months of outage. Samsung Galaxy Pop Android At An Eye Popping Price Rs 4,734 (Apply Code rcomlb1 to get this price) http://www.letsbuy.c...p-s5570-p-18536 As we all know, the above deal was a pricing mistake by Letsbuy and everyone's orders were cancelled. I too ordered and it was cancelled. I ordered on Cash on Delivery Method, so there was no question of money getting stuck/refund. I received a phone call also for saying sorry about the mistake. Now Letsbuy has also sent me a Discount Coupon of Rs 500 valid on minimum purchase of Rs 750. Letsbuy rocks... Thats awesome! Wish I had ordered. But a lot of people's orders were cancelled. I doubt they gave coupons to all, or did they? Edited July 4, 2011 by raccoon

rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted July 4, 2011 Few sites sell Monitors online and deals are rare. The best prices are usually found at the local computer market. One very good VFM Monitor ticking all the boxes is Acer S231HL 23" LED. It's Full HD, 16:9 Widescreen, very slim, VGA+DVI+HDMI and price approx Rs 9,500. It's somewhat hard to find in market but real value for the price. One of my relative is using and pretty happy. This 2 sites are selling it but i have no idea how reliable they are. rajanmehta 4,056 Report post Posted July 5, 2011 These are some Smartphone Mobile prices on Ebay India Global Easy Buy.. There may be many more choices but i got tired after shifting through numerous pages and left.. And the cost is for home delivery anywhere in India with import duly, shipping.. Everything.. P.S. Some of this phones may require programming, unlocking, registration etc.. Don't just start ordering unless you know what you are doing.. Why did i put up this list in the first place then? Well.. I think there is a huge mass of "aam aadmi" on CDMA in India who aspire to have a Smartphone but don't have 10K + budget and so continue to use those stupid CDMA handsets dished out by the operators. PROFESSIONAL sellers here at RIMweb should sense the OPPORTUNITY & seriously concentrate on this MASS Market with good volumes. Key to success is to bring some of this handsets at costs which are closer to their TRUE prices in international markets. Same set of customers will eventually migrate to higher cost smartphones after tasting economy ones.. That's the natural evolution.. Food for thought?
