New Blackberry 8830 In Less than Rs.4000 On E Bay

Recommended Posts

Hi Friends,

I want to share one very beneficial deal which I got through E-bay Global Easy Busy, I got New Blackberry 8830 Cricket in just 3800. The actual price was 4200, but I got 15% discount on Independence day coupon and 5% cash back through my Standard Chartered Platinum Card and whole deal was in less than 4000.

I faced some initial problem in programming as I was totally new in the field, tried some personal help from Forum but not got any response, but done some internet search and got all the necessary information and reprogrammed the handset in Just 30 minutes.

I have not faced much problem as the handset is generic without any career lock. I am thankful to information shared by group members as it helped lot to gain understanding on programming.

Now I am very much satisfied with the handset and using CDMA as well as gsm numbers (although one at a time).

I hope this information will be helpful to people aspiring to buy good handsets but with limited budget.

Rahul Dixit

@Rahul

Was the price which you got inclusive of customs duty and shipping to your home in India?

And what was the delivery period in days from day of ordering.

Thanks

Mouth watering price then. So nearly 7.5k which you pay at RIMWEB is merely for the DATA and in some cases not even that !!! :Equivocado:

I hope the rim web sellers also buy their phone through E-bay, and include their re shipping and commission on the phone.

The biggest advantage of buying through E-bay is you will get directly through real sellers and the phone will be totally new in condition, and it avoid intermediaries.

For my Surprise I got the phone at exactly half price what I could get through members.

Data charges is not problem as it is levied by company, however I never uses Reliance CDMA for data and use only GSM mode for data.

ebay's GEB deals are sometimes mouth watering, and they do not have any hassles of customs or shipping issues, but my observation is, other than phone, most of the accessories provided are not original, either they are OEM or fake brands..and one can not be so sure about the condition of the phone, it might be refurbished too..

^^^ Very true Aalok... I had also bought one phone during Independence Day celebrations. BB PEARL. Though I received everything mentioned in the listing, except the box. Later on, I switch on the phone, IT DOES NOT TURN ON. And then, I open to check battery and all, but everything (parts) that was visible seemed to be refurbished (but of good quality)

Doob gaye mere 6K rupees that time. The accessories are Original. Planning to sell them off rimweb in a few days' time.

I have the phone lying as it is. I think it can be used for parts or something.

I think E-bay deals are good at least we have option of returning the item in case it is not the same as described in their advertisement. Our payment are secured by Paisa Pay and their are several option of security.

The accessories which I got alongwith phone was excellent, I got original battery, data cable and charger, however the I got bluetootch headset instead of headphone which was mentioned in specification.

I agree with aalok

I bought battery foe HTC S720 from GEB it was not having good performance, probably used.

Few days ago I bought from 20north its giving me good results.

But difference in Price for both was about Rs 50 only. But in handset deals price difference with rimweb sellers is more than 4K. I think this 4K is for Hack & Crack registration with Reliance etc.....

didnt you tired to return the item to the seller?

it takes time but can be done.

i thought Ebay(GEB) only list items of PowerSellers who had reputations of more than 97+
