After the success of TATA Photon+ WiFi, now TATA launches TATA photon+ Music

This device is a combination of Pen Drive(has capability to handle upto 32 GB microSD), FM Radio, EVDO Rev.A modem, MP3 Player and Voice Recorder(to record external voice).

I think this is earlier announced Olive Genie V-ME150.

Somewhere I read this modem can also be used to make voice calls when connected to laptop which is unheard of in the EVDO Rev. A USB modems.

Tata Teleservices Limited (TTSL) has introduced the evolved Tata Photon Plus MP3 Device which offers a host of music features like MP3, Radio and recording along with Internet Surfing. The new device combines the benefit of wireless internet connectivity and music. Customers will also get a free 2GB micro-SD card for data storage. The benefits are 2 fold: one that it gives uninterrupted internet connectivity, secondly the new device can also be used as MP3 or users can access FM radio while it is unplugged.

The device is available for both post-paid and pre-paid customers and is effectively priced at Rs.3199/-.

Now the price is out and I feel it's competitively priced at Rs.3199/- just Rs.700 higher than current TATA Photon+ device.

My dear friend, I feel above is certainly not a current age statement.

Spearate devices for separate functions is thing of a past.

Majority wants converging devices.

Photon+ is not at all ruim-based from launch.. It is photonWhiz (1x modem) which is RUIM based initially.. Now new PhotonWhiz (or simply Photon) are also coming without RUIM slot..

Had gone to TI exclusive store near my home on the usual rounds and found Tata Photon + Music's stock with him. It have arrived two days back and there were few enquiries since then.

Specification in Olive website mentions it as RUIM based.
