abhi.r 95 Report post Posted November 1, 2010 How about the keyboard when used in dark? Each and every key is properly illuminated? Prominently visible? I know ppc6700 is no comparison for this phone but keyboard of 6700 had the same problem. All keys were not properly visible.
dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted November 1, 2010 ^ all the keys are excellently lit and properly visible in pitch dark too... keys tactile feel is also excellent and easy to type with proper feedback on each press...

Dj 25 Report post Posted November 1, 2010 The un-bricking seems like a fairly scary process, but having been through it, there could be nothing easier. i had by mistake flashed a crippled recovery mod which wont let me select or reboot. using the keyboard and guide at xda however, it was simply a one touch solution really. there are a couple of great roms too. Are EPIC and HERO are almost brick proof phones. I flashed device rom to phone and update stopped half way due to szie of Android ROM. Still it could be debricked

dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) "Launcher Pro" works in combination with "Home Switcher" only; both are download-able for free from the market; Launcher Pro's default contact icon does NOT connect to the samsung contacts and a widget for samsung contact is placed on home screen default by launcher pro; Home switcher quickly lets you select the default Loader i.e. between android default loader, samsung loader and launcher pro loader; edit: the work around is there to set the contacts to open the samsung contacts by editing dock shortcut edit: finally bought launcher pro plus for Rs. 131/-; the buggers have got exact htc sense widgets and interface; Introducing the new LauncherPro Plus! dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) LauncherPro Plus Screen shots - the usability has been increased a lot and the epic's a lot zippier too - This is my custom made ALL BLACK THEME - Note the 3 scrollable dock screens below the screen, I have placed all my useful programs there and have left the screen vacant for other usage - Also note the pinch to zoom multi screen - Also the dock widgets now display counts for the Missed Call, Unread SMS and Unread Gmail - Edited November 3, 2010 by dkaile

dkaile 1,051 Report post Posted November 3, 2010 (edited) My Samsung EPIC Dock has arrived (in just flat 7 days from the US.... lucky me...) - Notes- - Includes a Charger - Charging Light (blue) included on dock - Phone goes automatically into Desk Mode (App downloaded from market) and stays permanently lit (automatically); can be toggled into night mode - Volume keys get hidden below but volume can be adjusted by sliding out qwerty keyboard and using Func+Arrow keys combo - Volume keys foul up and get depressed to mute the phone if pressed hard from top - workaround -> I have attached a felt tape on other corner to balance it out - Photos dont do justice to how beautiful the phone and the dock look in actual usage - Sound does not output right now from the 3.5mm jack at the behind and will need a Froyo 2.2 upgrade to get it working as per user's manual included - Phone goes automatically into SPEAKERPHONE mode when I pick up a call while it is docked... Awesome... - This is one accessory i missed sorely on Incredible where a good economical dock didnt come out even months after launch...
