And always be vigilant about flashing sprint phones, don't fiddle with the rom structure much, I can say first hand that even ODIN can brick a probe like epic 4g sent from my NOTE II, yupp size does matter. 1 Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
abhi.r 95 Report post Posted June 4, 2013 According to xda, epic 4g and nexus 4g uses same chip so modem of nexus 4g can be used on epic4g. I installed nexus 4g modem on epic last night. My phone is working pretty fine. I'm yet to see if it burns more battery than epic modem. Tho I've seen huge difference in my evdo speed. It gets lot better on nexus 4g modem. I used it with CM10.. The speeds are really good after the flashing the radio.. But for installing the modem you need to flash the kernel too.. And after flashing the kernel the colour scheme changes and seems like it is on a lower resolution.. I also got a kind of tinge on the screen.. It didn't affect usage as such.. But I don't like a pixelated boot video or tinge on screen.. If you are having problems with evdo speed then you can flash the Nexus modem.. Otherwise its just a waste of time.. yaseen1214 1 Report post Posted June 11, 2013 Recently i was transferred from Maharastra to Tamil nadu and i change my mobile number in my Epic from Maharastra number to Tamil nadu number. Incoming and outgoing calls are working but data is not working. Settings>Wireless and network>Turn on 3G> 3G is not working and even symbol is not also coming. ankurcshah 112 Report post Posted July 7, 2013 One option to turn on phone without power button is using Odin. Flash a modem and give auto reboot option so that it powers on. Else follow steps Install Rom manager, Use Rom manager to install custom recovery, Use custom recovery to install twrp, Use twrp menu to boot into download mode. Hope you got it.
