kesav 127 Report post Posted November 1, 2010 (edited) I feel TATA Indicom is aligning with TATA docomo in its offerings. Indicom has launched several national STVs similar to their offerings in Docomo. Rs. 24 --> 1p/2sec(local) or 30p/min(local) Rs. 32 --> 40p/min (local & STD) Rs. 21 --> Night-1p/2sec(local & STD) or Night-30p/min(local&STD) Rs. 34 --> 1p/4sec(Onnet-local&STD) or 15p/min (Onnet-local&STD) Indicom has also launched daily packs at Rs. 5   http://www.tataindicom.com/t-prepaid-rechargevouchers.aspx I feel there'll be eventual merger of two brands under one name. With Docomo's 3G launch on the horizon, it's only expected that theses two brands will merge together to offer hybrid 3G experience(HSDPA+EVDO) to its pan-India consumers. For dual-tech operators like Reliance,TATA,BSNL and MTNL, the 3G technologies EVDO & HSDPA are going to be complimentary rather than competing. There were daily rental pack (of Rs. 1/day, i.e. Rs. 30/month) which provided similar benefits. Daily pack of Rs. 5 is a poor copy of Uninor's 'Aaj Ka Paanch' which is far better offer allowing double on-net local/ STD calls, five times more SMS and also data option is there (30 MB for tethering also). kesav 127 Report post Posted November 2, 2010 (edited) My dear friend,Don't get confused between daily packs(I prefer to call it as day packs) and daily rental packs. Daily packs(instead it should be called as day packs) are targeted for emergency purposes where you want a facility only for that particular day. Don't calibrate daily packs(or day packs) for more than 6 days because it's not meant for that purpose. For 7 days and more, you've weekly packs and then monthly packs which you subscribe for. TATA Docomo is the pioneer in day packs and not Uninor. May be now, Uninor have better day packs. Thanks for highlighting. Daily rental packs are something where Rs.1 will be deducted from your account everyday till you unsubscribe it. Those daily rental packs are total flop in the industry because it's like leakage in your prepaid account. TATA Indicom was pioneer in daily rental packs but I think now they've withdrawn completely due its failure. I'll never recommend daily rental packs to anyone since I've suffered from it. Karthik R 246 Report post Posted November 2, 2010 TI have not withdrawn daily rental plans completely as it is still there with PPC - daily Re.1 deduction for 30 day (effectively 30/month).
Karthik R 246 Report post Posted April 6, 2011 Missed call alert service on TI, which earlier carried a monthly charge of Rs.15 have been waved off. It is now a totally free service for all prepaid and postpaid subscribers.

Deepak Shankar 79 Report post Posted April 6, 2011 I am on the PPC plan of TI actually speaking I dont mind TI taking 1 rupee daily from my account as I am getting the benefit of 1 rupee for 10 mins across all networks and landlines and Rs.3 for std ya i do agree that this plan is not worth if you are not talking long on calls but if ur its still worth the buck in my opinion as you end up paying less and talking more
