Stop Receiving Bytes After Some Time

Recommended Posts

Hi

I have a LG FWP phone and using a laptop(winxp) to connect to internet. Am using a usb cable to connect as there is no serial port present. The issue is that after making the connection, I stop receiving any bytes. The connection is still there and send byts keep on increasing. Just the received bytes become constant .This sometimes happens withing seconds or in few minutes. Then even if I disconnect and connect again, this problem still remains and occurs in even lesser time (in few seonds).

Can anyone give me some pointers.

Thanks

is the signal good enough in your place ? And, try a spyware detector and antivirus program too as Vishal pointed out.

Yes the signal is pretty good in my house and it works fine on my desktop at the same location. I also didn't find any virus or spywares on my machine.

Anything else to look for.

Sometimes it happens with me too - i use Win XP on my PC, and the only way to solve it is to disconnect and reconnect. Anybody got any better ideas???

I have seen this happen even on Dial Up connections some times..

Some times it happens when the n/w is really congested!!

If the problem occured always,Try some spyware like "Ad-Aware SE Personal".

else, it occured rarely, just save all programs then restart your machine. then try now.

Already tried many spyware and didn't find anything. Could this be a data cable issue as I am using a local data cable which connects the FWP phone to USB port. ?

Is there any other port setting which might be causing it ?

thanks

Hello Friend,

I too had this problem for sometime. I tried the new reliance number starting with 93... as the login & password as my data cable seller on bazee suggested me to. It worked, though I did not believe that was the solution. The intructions on the CD tell you to enter the STD code etc. Don't follow that!

Krishna.
