Tushar 0 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 I have a small problem whenever I create a midi ringtone and save it through psm player (4096 bytes) it sounds perfect but when I use rformat to convert it and then hear it through psmplayer then its got only 1 selected and the length increases and it plays some totally diff tune. Even when I download any tune from the forum with dat extention it plays that same single tune file. Pls help I think its something wrong wid d player can someone suggest a player to listen to these tunes in dat format. Also one more thing in psm player if we waana save a ringtone then whats the max length that can be stored in 4096 bytes if we have 1,2 and Dr selected. I'm attaching a Friends (the TV series) tune which is just amazin in midi format. And also the dat file I created using rformat. Friends.exe Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
Ashokjp 15 Report post Posted April 18, 2004 Sorry mods to discuss this here.. Since he asked.. Hi maniktushar, Psmplayer or Winamp wont play the file with dat extension.. Usually while using rformat.exe, you give the output file as filename.dat and therefore the output file is created as filename.dat But if you give the extension as .mid also there wont be any problem.. If you are giving .mid extension then you can hear the tone properly in Winamp and Psmplayer.. There is no difference happening in the inside file data.. Also you dont need to change the filename or extension back to .dat to overwrite the file in Bitpim.. If the ringtones you download from here are in .dat extension, rename it to .mid to hear it in Winamp or Psm Player Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

They sound really gr8 on d handset as they are monophonic and better than any of the ones posted b4. JUST TRY IT ITS GR8 ITS MY BEST RINGTONE.
