_Kailash_ 63 Report post Posted November 15, 2010 By Using EStrong : First On your Computer Configure Shared Files . By Right Clicking On Your Drive Will Show Share. In That Option Allow Sharing . Try This If It works Else We Will Have To Assign A port On Your Drive To Enable it. For EG: To Share Server Files On PC i Type //http:192.168.1.2:8080/ or //Server/D/ [PS .2 IS Ip of My Server.]we might have to :8080 for that will, as for now its working in my office , I am Able to access all Available Shared Folders on my Android of My Server Or my PC... _Kailash_ 63 Report post Posted November 16, 2010 I have already done the first option as I share files between my laptop and desktop Connect You PC And Mobile to WiFi. Now on Your mobile: Go to Menu-->ES File Explorer-->On Top Change Local to LAN-->A New Screen Saying Add a Server pops Ups-->Click Menu > New > Scan Let It Scan The IPs Click on a IP It will get the folder list and now try accessing the files it should work. If this doesn't work then On Your PC and Laptop go to LAN Or WiFi Connection >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Click properties >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Internet protocol Version 4 >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>Use the Following IP Address>>>>>>OK Now On Your Mobile Go to Settings >Wireless & Networks> WiFi Settings > Press Menu > Advanced> Use Static IP Address In That Put The Above Values For Everything other than IP Address put Something Like 192.168.1.11. try This n let me know if it works
gjp 2 Report post Posted November 28, 2010 I was having connectivity problems using the LAN feature on EStrongs too. You have to have to enable "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Networks" on your Wifi Connection of LAN Connection (which ever or both, you are using) of you PC. Double click on your Wifi / LAN connection, go to Properties and then make sure the Check Box for 'File and Printer Shareing for Microsoft Networks" is filled. This worked for me. gjp

digitalnirvana 646 Report post Posted November 28, 2010 Yes IP messenger is a good software, we used in our office LAN also, very light on system requirements and useful for sending files - you can directly drag and drop the file onto chat window. Good find KoolK.
