Recommended Posts

No high end dual standby available as of now.

XT800 is only option.

Even for future we are not very hopeful.

These are mfd for chinese mkt and they want lower cost options

Nope. There is one monster already available in China Markets. Identical in specs to Motorola Atrix but with CDMA + GSM Dual Sim, Dual Stand by.. It has EVDO but no 3G in GSM, only GPRS Class 12.

Moto XT 882 >> http://developer.mot...products/xt882/

Android 2.3 Gingerbread, Nvidia Tegra 2 - 1 Ghz Dual Core Processor, 4" qHD (540 x 960) capacitive touchscreen, 8 MP Back Camera & VGA Front Camera, HDMI 1.4a, 1080p Video Recording, 8 GB Storage + Upto 32GB Micro SD Card.

And for brave souls who can take risk, it's available here for US $ 500 >> http://www.cellhut.c...-Sim-Cell-Phone but confirm whether English Language option is there or not?

Checked with kamal at Letsbuy.

XT882 is expected in India by next month.

But will be priced high initially.

3GSM + EVDO seems to be distant dream.

problem with moto mobility in india is that it has different distributors for different phones. xt 800 and a few cheaper handsets are handled by airtyme communications while defy and others were distributed by salora. now with google taking over motorola mobility, we yet have to see how google decides about india's operations. everyone knows india's potential vis-a-v sales and quantities and profits. lets wait and watch. am expecting even better phones from moto now :)
