::Hitesh:: 1,763 Report post Posted December 11, 2010 The next generation of Google Maps -- that is version 5 -- recently shown off by Andy Rubin -- with neat vector and offline features is now starring a demo video in which the Samsung Nexus S is also appearing as a guest star. Building are represented in 3D for more than 100 cities and the application's local cache will allow you to plan routes while offline, given you've already visited/displayed those certain regions of the map. Andy Rubin promised on Monday that the application should be available in the "coming days" so it shouldn't take long till it will reach the Marketplace. The new Google Maps is advertised to run on most Android devices that support 3D rendering and distinct multitouch. Until its release, take a look at the video demo below

sougatadc 358 Report post Posted December 12, 2010 Simply great! I wonder when Indian networks as well as maps will be mature enough to cater to 3D details of any city in India like this. Let's hope.
