tanveer 59 Report post Posted January 15, 2005 CA Results on Reliance Phones * Wait for over 50,000 students ends * Exam results on RIM get record 18 million hits DAKC (Dhirubhai Ambani Knowledge City), Navi Mumbai, January 14, 2005 Riding the success wave of flashing examination results, Reliance IndiaMobile phones have kicked off this year by beginning to provide CA results for PE l as well as the final ending the waiting game for over 50,000 prospective practitioners. Around 20,000 students have appeared for PE l and 30,000 for Intermediate this year for the examinations conducted by the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India across the country. Reliance Infocomm, on its R World platform of RIM phones, has already tied up with over 70 different Boards for providing examination results. This year CA results announcement is the start of yet another step to serve the student community. The feature is available under Hot-n-New category on R World. This year Reliance plans to cover almost all Board and competitive exams and will also provide an added facility for customers to see a schedule of the results announcement dates. RIM users can also register for any result through this application, and on announcement of the result he/she would be notified by an SMS. "Normally, CA students wait with bated breath to know the results and we are glad that now they can get to know how they fared literally at the click of a button, thanks to this facility being provided by Reliance Infocomm," said V Sagar, Deputy Secretary, Examinations of ICAI. Said Mahesh Prasad, President - Applications and Solutions group, reliance Infocomm: "We find that the exam results feature on R World is extremely popular with the platform registering over 30 million student result look ups which in itself is a record of sorts. I am sure, the future CAs would be extremely happy with the new feature."
