postashish 3 Report post Posted January 11, 2011 Hi guys, Is anyone using whatsapp on android, i have installed it from market but the problem is it requires to send an sms to my phone number, which fails everytime i try! it is unable to send sms. amit.shah 51 Report post Posted January 11, 2011 (edited) i'm using whatsapp since a month. got installed successfully w'out any problems at first go. initially, it does send sms to phone and then u can start using the application. kepal 1 Report post Posted January 11, 2011 i think for configuration for the first time you need to do it with your basic GPRS/1x after that you may use it via wifi. i have not face any issue with sending first sms , i am using it since last 3 months & it's superb. csmart 472 Report post Posted January 12, 2011 (edited) why PM? this is standard procedure..it was not working on my Epic. its simple process. but some how got it work today. i am mentioning what i did.. PLS DATA CONNECTION ON.. it snot working on wifi... 1. search for app on market 2. download it and run it 3. then click on "accept" 4. dont change country at this point. just enter your cell no and click OK 5. let it try for abt a min and then press cancel. 6. manually change coutnry code to 91 (not form drop down box) 7. then enter you phone number and click OK Edited January 12, 2011 by csmart Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
